Marie Yoho Dorsey's work is an exploration of origin and inheritance. Contemporary Ikebana and design principles shape the inner logic of her work. Dorsey is interested in memory and how it structures relationships to time, collective history and identity. Dorsey is a visual artist and educator whose work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions throughout the United States, Germany and Japan. She has received numerous awards and fellowships, including residencies at MacDowell, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, the Anderson Ranch Arts Center and the Artist Relief Fund, NY.
