Jason Duval studied photography and painting at Massachusetts College of Art in Boston and earned his MFA in painting from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. A decidedly analog artist, Duval works in painting, printmaking, photography and film. He has exhibited his work in galleries and institutions in Buffalo, Boston, New York City and Berlin. His most recent solo exhibition was presented at Wild Palms, Düsseldorf, in 2018. His works in various media explore the expressive potential of abstract form, with specific attention to painterly materiality and pictorial structure.
