Painterly Relief Printing

Thursday, July 24th, 2025 6:00 - 9:00 pm Join us for an evening of carving linoleum blocks and using them to make painterly monoprints! We will focus on designs that involve minimum cutting and maximum negative space, leaving room to play with the ink on the surface before printing. This way you have a semi-repeatable image to create unique variations from. Bob Fleming and Rachel Shelton will cover methods of printing on the press as well as ways to print without one, as well as techniques for registering multiple layers on each print. Each participant will be able to take their linoleum and cutting tools home at the end of the workshop. Spots: LIMITED TO 6 PEOPLE. No prior experience is required. Materials: All materials and supplies are included in the program fee. Cost: $160 per person. Participants will get a discount for 1:1 Mirabo sessions for the following year.
